An injured buffalo on a Yuen Long highway brought rush-hour traffic in northwestern Hong Kong to a standstill on Wednesday morning, prompting authorities to urge residents to use rail services.
The Transport Department said on Wednesday that several lanes near Kam Sheung Road MTR station on the Kowloon-bound Tsing Long Highway had been closed after an animal was found on the road.

“Motorists are advised to use alternative routes. Citizens please consider using MTR services,” it said.
