Deepening security and economic cooperation with the UAE comes amid recent attacks against Emirati targets by the Houthis, as well as warnings to potential investors by the Yemen-based militia. The UAE is part of a Saudi Arabia-led military coalition that has waged a campaign against the Houthis at the request of ex-President Abdrabbuh Mansur Hadi.
