US Reportedly Scraps ‘Open Skies’ Planes Once Used to Monitor Russia

The Trump administration withdrew from the 1992 Open Skies Treaty in November. Trump’s successor Joe Biden criticized the Republican over the decision, but has yet to take any steps to get the US back into the agreement. Russia announced plans to withdraw from the accord in January, but has hinted that it might stay in if the US returns.
